I never liked the color pink,
It wasn't for boys like me. I know that sounds old-fashioned now, But that's what we believed. When my wife wanted our bedroom pink, I quickly said no. I could not bear the girlish air Of a room painted so. It was funny how that color Never seemed right to me, I guess it was socially ingrained Part of my history. But now I will gladly wear pink, In honor of my wife, And all the cancer fighters Who save so many lives. Now I will wear pink with pride, For all the world to see, Together we can turn the tide, And cancer will cease to be. Mark H. Newhouse
